Insurance Coverage
We partner with insurance providers to make accessing the equipment you need simple and stress-free. Choose from several convenient delivery options, including home delivery, office pickup, and shipping, to fit your lifestyle. Additionally, we provide out-of-pocket purchase and rental programs, ensuring affordable and flexible solutions tailored to your needs.
Accept Insurance
After verifying your insurance, we will contact you with information about any coinsurance or deductible amounts.
Upon delivery, we will collect any applicable deductible and bill your insurance directly for the remaining costs. If you have coinsurance, it will be billed at a later date, as outlined in your Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
In rare cases, your insurance may send payment directly to you. If this occurs, you can either:
Contact your insurance provider and request that the payment be sent directly to ProSUM Health, or
Pay your balance directly when we reach out to you.
About Insurance Coverage
We work with a variety of insurance providers to offer coverage for medical equipment and accessories. It’s essential to verify whether your specific insurance plan includes coverage for durable medical equipment (DME).
Many insurance companies require pre-authorization before providing coverage for a medical equipment. This process ensures that medical necessity is established. We assist healthcare providers in submitting the necessary documentation to expedite this approval.
For Medicare beneficiaries, medical equipment are generally covered if the patient meets specific criteria, including a diagnosis of sleep apnea for use of PAP therapy. Medicaid coverage varies by state, so it’s important to check local guidelines for eligibility and requirements.
To facilitate the approval process, be prepared to provide the following documentation:
A prescription from a qualified healthcare provider
Documentation of a sleep study confirming the diagnosis
Medical device supporting the need for PAP therapy
Even with insurance, patients may be responsible for co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket expenses. It’s important to review your specific plan details to understand potential costs.
Some insurance plans offer rental agreements for medical equipment, allowing you to use the equipment while payments are spread over time. After a designated rental period, you may have the option to purchase the equipment for continued use.
